Apologies for not keeping up with this journal. Seems life just got very busy and time did not permit doing all things, some had to wait. And this had to be one of them. Priorities - we all have them.
February 22nd 2006 I received 3 million new "Fyn" umbilical cord stem cells using the IV drip intra-venous method, by Dr. Fernando Ramirez in Mexico. This started with a substance to open the blood brain barrier, at which time the new stem cells were inserted. They arrived in the brain within seconds which I knew by the taste and smell in my mouth, due to the preservative used while the stem cells remained in frozen form in a cryogenic freezing unit.
I am awaiting any improvements to come and at this time have seen minor changes in speech, balance and overall well being. At this time I am happy to have slowed the progression that was running rampant through this body, and any improvements are welcomed with open arms. Speech has been the most mourned loss for me, and getting some of that back opens a whole new world once again. Improvements can happen anytime after the initial first few weeks, so I am hoping for more to come.
I am also taking many supplements as per my medical research friend - including
GPC glycero(3)-phosphocholine - 3 per day
L-Theanine - 6 per day
Cinnamon Extract (from cinnamon bark) - 6 per day
GliSODin Superoxide Dismulase/Gliadin complex - 3 per day
Turmeric - 6 per day
Biotin - 3-4 day
PS 100 (phosphatidylserine) - 6 per day
lyprinol (marine lipid extract) - 4-6 per day
eat lots of curry, garlic, ginger, and cinnamon plus green tea
I also maintain my eating healthy and natural as one can get today.
"YES" - yes I am happy about doing these treatments, the daily lifestyle of supplements, nutrients and diet - even if only to stop the progression of my Progressive M.S. The improvements are definite pluses which I thoroughly revel in.
"A strong positive attitude will help bring about more miracles than any wonder drug."
This statement is born of personal experience, for without my own positive attitude, there is no doubt but that my body and emotions would be on a downward spiral. The matter of being happy despite this daily "challenge" is a major "miracle" for me. At least I believe it is, for a positive attitude has made life interesting and enjoyable, and each change is an adventure. And as all of you with MS know, every day presents new challenges, the likes of which most of us never dreamed would happen. But, they are happening.
