MY STEM CELL
Experiment

August 16, 2003

It has been two weeks since my last update, time for a wee bit more to keep you informed.

Doctor Steenblock and Dr. Payne told me, prior to the treatment, that I would be tired and sleepy for the first 4-6 weeks. They were absolutely right! I have been sleeping and napping more than since I was a youngster. I've been getting about 10 hours per night plus a long nap in the afternoon. Still working, but not as hard as before, and I am listening to my body now. That is important so that these new stem cells can do their job of regenerating this body and the damaged areas.

It is not yet a month since the insertion of the stem cells, but I am certainly aware of little changes taking place in my system and body. Besides being able to drink water again, I have the distinct knowing that life is brighter, the mind is sharper and clearer and I am enjoying each day. My toes have been a problem for the last few years - curling up, looking like little hammers - well, they are straightening out and looking better. When I sit outside and enjoy the beauty of the mountains I live in - well - seems everything looks much more clear now. And I am definitely enjoying just being much more. Last night I even sat and watched an ant on my outdoor table, busy and just working away at things ants do. I feel more stable on my feet, have even tried walking some without my support cane, and that felt wonderful. Of course, it wasn't far, nor long, but .. hopefully there is much more to come.

Even my daily exercise routine is enjoyable now, it is not the "chore" that it was. I had purchased a "stair stepper" machine just prior to the treatment, yesterday morning I did 170 steps... not bad for a guy with a challenge, plus being an "old timer". (started with 50 steps and worked my way up over the last 3 weeks). My energy is good, when I am not sleeping, and I like that, too. And, my family and friends are telling me my speech is more clear, stronger and faster. And I am aware that my speech depends on how tired I am, for when I am tired, it is slower. But, I like the idea it is getting better, for I love talking with people - and having them understand me!!

I started a video before the treatment - just in my home, with a friend and his camera. I will keep updating that as well, once a month. So this coming week will be a month and I will do another short segment. This will visually show any and all changes that are happening. (kind of scary looking at myself)

Through all of this, Dr. Payne and Dr. Steenblock have stayed in touch, almost daily. What a blessing it is working with these gentlemen and their staff. Big thanks to them!!!!

so for now............
Peace, Joy, Love, Compassion
Jim
