MY STEM CELL
Experiment

September 6th, 2004

What a beautiful and wonderful summer this has been, especially for me! It has been so very full and wonderful, however between grand daughter's wedding in Florida, a bit of a family reunion, children coming and visiting here in Washington and other guests throughout the summer and more coming this fall, the stem cell and MS updates have been so neglected. My priorities have been family and friends plus my internet business (it provides for everything else and thankfully has grown by over 50 percent this year compared to last year).

Right now I have a friend from the east coast visiting who also has this wonderful "challenge" we call M.S. and I must admit how wonderful it is to have someone who can relate regarding the limitations. Most people, including family and friends, cannot fully understand what we go through on a daily basis, although they do attempt to be aware. Thus it is nice to have someone to share little adventures with each day, and also understand the need to rest in between these adventures. That means a lot to both of us.

Regarding stem cells and stem cell treatments, there has been much in the way of news within the U.S.A. and also in other countries. TV programs have been aired from Portugal, Bejiing as well as other areas, and then also in other media and methods. All of this combines to make the public, our government, the FDA and the medical society much more aware of what is happening. Hopefully more money can be allotted to furthering the research and testing in this "healing" path we call stem cells. Also the awareness of the difference between umbilical cord blood stem cells, aborted fetus stem cells and those harvested from one's own body. I believe this is good news for all of us.

I am planning another stem cell treatment this fall, again in Mexico. Meantime I have had one test taken and it has proved that I am healthy in that area. I have two more tests to do (medical testing) before the treatment. These tests are to make sure my body is healthy enough to accept the new stem cells and that they may work properly. Along with this new treatment will be, hopefully, some ways of slowing down my body's ability to attack itself (exascerbations), thus providing more improvements.

I will attempt to get back on track with updates after guests and family visits cease for the year.

Until next time...

Peace, Joy, Love, Compassion
Jim
