MY STEM CELL

Tired? sleepy? Improving?
Yes! At least for me this tiredness follows the same trend as after the first treatment. It is rather amusing this time because of the awareness of what may take place. Added this time is the daily injection of Saizen that I self administer just after I have a noon lunch. Within a very short period of time, I am horizontal and in dreamland for about an hour or so.

It is less than 3 weeks since the treatment so I have not been expecting any changes to take place yet. However, I have noticed a slight improvement in my finger dexterity. That is to say that I find it easier to pick up my smooth, slippery Calcium EAP tablets off of the counter where I used to brush them into a cupped hand at the edge of the counter. Typing on the computer keyboard is also slightly easier and more on target.

At this time I am still not completely sure, but it appears my balance is continuing to improve. The reason I say this comes from catching myself from falling just two days ago. For the past three years, when I have had the sensation and knowing that I was falling backwards, there was absolutely nothing I could do except to hope that I would not knock myself out or hurt the body as it bounced off the nearest object it hit. On this particular occasion I became aware of the sensation, knew I was starting to go over backwards and was able to stop it and get to upright position quickly. That was a most welcome feeling - knowing I just thwarted a fall and possible injury. I say "not completely sure" because until this occurs again, and it can be stopped once more, it is uncertain if this was just "luck". Regardless, it made me very happy.

The other routines of exercise, cooking, cleaning, and working continue pretty much on target as before, with slight improvements in each endeavor. Pam, who works with me, Ron (a very good friend) and Sharon at one of the factories we work with, have mentioned that my speech is again improving and getting stronger. Sharon's offer of this fact was made to Pam after talking with me on the phone Monday.

I feel very healthy, appetite is good and attitude remains positive and my goal remains - "to be dancing at my grand daughter's wedding in June". Goals are important for they make one stretch and reach for better things.

SMILE! - Mother Teresa said: "Every time you smile at someone, it is an act of love. A gift to that person, a beautiful thing."
